Holy Cow Batman! Mustang Island’s New Developments are “Where the Action is” in Texas as Texas Legend Red McCombs Joins the Development Frenzy

I doubt as Tommy Boyce & Steve Venet wrote “Action” in the 1960’s they were thinking of Mustang Island
but the lyrics surely apply to Mustang Island these days:

Mustang Island development is on fire with six new developments drawing national attention to the often overlooked pristine tranquil beaches and small town feel of the Port Aransas, Texas. Located minutes away from the epicenter of Corpus Christi, Mustang Island is a sprouting new developments so excellent in design that I hardly know where to begin telling the news first. For the first time in years I can feel the excitement in the air. Well, I had better get on with it before I succumb to death by Goosebumps.
I have to start somewhere, so I might as well start with Cinnamon Shores, who’s Phase II is underway as we speak. Sales at the Shores have been brisk partially because of its close proximity to the Arnold Palmer Golf Course which is not quite but almost completed. Award winning builders Gregg Turicchi and Thaxton Kypke are going full steam ahead building residences ranging from small beach cottages to large custom homes.

It is like watching your baby girl grow up and you realize that everyone thinks she is as wonderful and perfect as you have always thought.” “I am just thrilled,” he stated. With an attitude like that, I am sure we will be seeing more developments from Jeff Lamkin in the future.

When I was growing up, I was often told “time is money” now in this day and age I would change that statement to “Time and Distance is Money”. With fuel prices what they are one must consider distance as much as time when money is concerned.
The Moorings has it all. Now I don’t have to tell you that the fishing in Port Aransas is world class. Just imagine yourself finishing your coffee at daybreak and leisurely strolling down to your boat slip where your boat is ready to go while others are spending hard earned cash driving with boat in tow to a ramp out there somewhere. The Moorings location offers access to bay and offshore fishing whichever floats your boat (yes pun intended). You can fish all day, evening and night or fish a little, golf a little.
That’s right folks that new Arnold Palmer Course mentioned above is just a hop skip and jump away from your Condo. Now, it doesn’t get much better than that and you shouldn’t expect any less. You worked and toiled for your retirement or off time and this is the place to enjoy the fruit of your labor. Only Question I have “is can I go with you?” I must admit to loving every second spent on the water in pursuit of the big three: Redfish, Flounder and Trout. A hole in one on that course would be nice too! I get relaxed just thinking about the Moorings. I had better move on before this article is so long it takes up all the bandwidth on the entire internet.
Now let’s look at two projects by the well known and respected Dean family. Island Park Estates and Island Moorings Yacht Club and Marina

Island Moorings Yacht Club and Marina

Island Moorings Yacht Club and Marina’s world-class marina offers state-of-the-art concrete floating dock system, a ship's store, a club house, yacht sales, a swimming pool, bath house and laundromat.
The Marina is located on the Port Aransas Shuttle route that operates daily, providing transportation to points of interest throughout Port Aransas. Koontz McCombs was founded in 1997 by San Antonio businessmen Bart C. Koontz and Red McCombs as a commercial real estate development firm. Red McCombs, a Texas legend in his own right is the founder of the Red McCombs Automotive Group, a co-founder of Clear Channel Communications, a former owner of the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets, and the Minnesota Vikings, and the namesake of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin (an honor given in recognition of a fifty million U.S. dollar donation to the University).
